Leading Organisational Transformation
Leading transformation is fundamentally different from managing operations.
While strategy defines the destination, transformation unfolds through people. As priorities compete, uncertainty grows and the organisation responds in unexpected ways, leaders are required to continually restore direction while sustaining momentum.
At Somajna, we believe that organisational transformation begins strategically, struggles socially and resolves psychologically.
The Growth Catalyst is a coaching pathway designed for senior leaders responsible for carrying transformation across the organisation. This pathway develops the leader's capacity to perceive the strategic, social and psychological fields of transformation, recognise the knots that slow progress, and cultivate the conditions through which the organisation regains its flow, or the ability to create value at scale and with increasing ease.
The Core Framework
Every transformation encounters phases where progress accelerates, slows or becomes fragmented. While your coaching journey is guided by your own organisational context and aspirations, the pathway follows an underlying architecture that helps leaders continually rediscover direction and restore momentum.
We work with three interconnected outcomes that signal whether transformation is strengthening the organisation's capacity to evolve.
Sustaining Transformation Direction & Momentum
Strategic Direction: Business Outcomes
Are business results on the right trajectory? When leaders can continually reconnect the organisation with its purpose and strategic intent, it creates a sense of direction. As teams work through uncertainty, aligning decisions with long-term priorities and help people understand where they are going, and the role they play in making it happen.
Organisational Momentum
with the Transformation
Translate strategy into sustained movement by recognising where transformation is slowing, addressing the social knots that emerge across teams, functions and cultures, and helping people move forward together without losing business continuity.
The Leadership Transition
enabling it
Every transformation succeeds when every leader holding it undergoes the full transition it asks of them. Here, the leader becomes the steady centre of the transformation by developing the awareness, discernment and resilience to sense what the organisation needs next, make thoughtful decisions amidst ambiguity and embody the belief that empowers more leaders to emerge.
The Coaching Roadmap
9 sessions | Three Phases
Transformation (and growth) rarely follows a straight line.
Our coaching methodology provides the required structure and openness to enable the unpredictability of transformation. Every session is grounded in the realities of your organisation's transformation while creating space to notice emerging patterns within yourself, your leadership team and the wider organisation. As you lead the transformation, your coach holds space, senses the evolving field and brings meaningful observations into the conversation, allowing insight to emerge naturally through your experience.
THE GROWTH CATALYST: PHASE 1 (SESSIONS 1-3)
Orientation & Direction

Transformation is unpredictable as it moves forward in waves of transitions which are punctuated by uncertainty, resistance and unforeseen blocks. We begin by understanding your transformation landscape, your aspirations as its leader and the strategic, social and psychological fields that are shaping the organisation today. Together we identify where direction is strongest, where momentum is slowing and what the transformation is truly asking of your leadership.
The Experience:
Reflective, systemic and exploratory. You develop a deeper understanding of the organisation as a living system while clarifying the intentions that will guide the journey.
What you will walk away with:
-
Mapping the strategic, social and psychological fields of transformation
-
Understanding the organisation's current transformation cycle
-
Identifying the dominant knots affecting direction and momentum
-
Clarifying your personal purpose, priorities and leadership intention
THE GROWTH CATALYST: PHASE 2 (SESSIONS 4-6)
Finding Momentum & Knots

As meaningful action begins, the transformation inevitably encounters resistance. Some of it appears through systems and structures. Much of it emerges through new tensions in relationships, competing priorities, shifting identities and changes triggered to organisational culture.
The default response to overcoming resistance is exerting greater control. However, when we learn to recognise what the system is revealing, we discover the path of least resistance and regain momentum.
The Experience:
Adaptive, challenging and personally developmental. These sessions often generate the greatest insights as the organisation becomes the text and real-time transformation becomes the classroom.
What you will walk away with:
-
Reading emerging patterns and weak signals
-
Working with social and cultural knots
-
Navigating ambiguity while sustaining business continuity
-
Creating alignment, ownership and shared purpose across the organisation
THE GROWTH CATALYST: PHASE 3 (SESSIONS 7-9)
Integration & Stabilization

As clarity deepens and the underlying knots begin to loosen, transformation starts to feel lighter. Leadership becomes less about driving change and more about cultivating the conditions in which others willingly carry it forward.
You conclude the journey by integrating your learning, strengthening the organisation's internal capacity for transformation and embedding practices that sustain momentum long after the coaching engagement ends.
The Experience:
Expansive, integrative and future-focused. Attention shifts from delivering the current transformation to building an organisation that becomes increasingly capable of transforming itself.
What you will walk away with:
-
Developing leaders who carry the transformation with you
-
Strengthening organisational capability and resilience
-
Embedding adaptive practices that sustain momentum
-
Synthesising insights into your own philosophy of transformation leadership
Why this pathway works
Transformation cannot be sustained through strategy alone.
Every organisation contains three interconnected fields: the strategic/systemic, the social/cultural and the personal/psychological. While all three are always present, leaders carrying enterprise transformation most often encounter resistance at the social/cultural level where trust, relationships, culture and collective belief together influence organisational energy or the collective will of the organisation. This decides if momentum accelerates, stalls or moves in circular loops.
Your coach partners with you not just on creating with plans, milestones and business outcomes, but also the lived experience of transformation itself. By holding space, sensing the field and bringing subtle shifts into awareness, the coach enables you to learn from your own approaches. That enables you to continuously calibrate direction, sustain momentum and create sustainable growth.
