EXECUTIVE COACHING PATHWAY#1
The Influence Compass
Master the transition to senior leadership, manage upward with confidence, and build enterprise-wide influence.
Program Overview: Developing Systemic Acumen
Impactful leadership at the executive level has very little to do with formal authority. Success as a Vice President or C-suite leader depends entirely on your ability to influence across matrix boundaries, build deep organizational trust, and mobilize diverse stakeholders who will never report to you.
The Influence Compass is a focused, 9-session executive coaching journey designed for newly promoted VPs and high-potential directors preparing for larger enterprise-level roles. This pathway helps you deepen your systemic intelligence — enabling you to decode the visible and invisible dynamics of your organization, manage upward to the C-suite with genuine gravitas, and build a high-performing second-line leadership that helps you scale.
Understanding Executive Influence
While the coaching journey is driven by the client's context and their objectives and goals, the pathway is built on an underlying framework that maps the entire territory of this transition. Rather than focusing solely on external events like promotions or job titles, this program tracks three tangible, real-time lead indicators that organically drive external career results — together, they represent the compass, with its needle and pivot.
Tangible Coaching Outcomes
True North: Creating Stakeholder Alignment & Advocacy
Cultivate a robust network of executive sponsors and strategic allies across the enterprise by shifting promoters into vocal advocates, neutralizing detractors, and rendering competitive friction irrelevant. Success at a senior level hinges less on individual capability and skills and more on leveraging the system’s latent capabilities.
The Pivot: Executive Presence and Personal Discipline
Embody your new leadership identity by consciously choosing your commitments, setting clear boundaries, and protecting your focus from tactical distractions. The gains in the externally visible areas are fuelled by your consistency on the personal front through execution and taking calculated risks.
The South: An Expanded Strategic Project Portfolio
Select and successfully execute high-leverage, high-visibility projects and initiatives that showcase your functional specialization and executive capability. This comes from assessing one's context and naming the priorities that balance current aspirations, core strengths and organisational requirements.
THE INFLUENCE COMPASS: PHASE 1 (SESSIONS 1-3)
Diagnostic & Direction Setting

In this phase, the primary focus is on knowing you; your experience, insight, your aspirations and your potential by connecting with you and using one of our diagnostic tools. You will assess self and environment to know the types of work or areas that align with your needs and/or wants. Based on your current aspirations, strengths and market/org requirements. Then, you begin to build capabilities as required (for self and team) to address the possible ‘knots’ that can show up. Alongside, we map your current organisation/role context to assess the environment you are aiming to excel in
The Experience:
Reflective, analytical, and foundational. You will map your enterprise ecosystem, isolate your behavioral habits, and define the identity shift required at the next level.
What you will walk away with:
-
Unpacking the leader’s bag and crystallizing intention through goals
-
Decoding your organization’s systemic, social, and psychological domains to understand the architecture of decision-making, governance and, power.
-
Setting the pivot: Developing your stakeholder matrix and quick wins to gain visibility
THE INFLUENCE COMPASS: PHASE 2 (SESSIONS 4-6)
Finding Momentum & Friction

This is the phase where most of the ‘action’ takes place. The clarity and direction established in the first phase acts as the foundation for initiating actions in different domains. The goals create the necessary energy to execute the actions, and accountability nudges help you maintain momentum. However, progress in this phase can be moderated by resistance that can come from the environment or ‘knots’ that can show up internally as you try and shift embodied patterns of thinking and behaviour. These are also the sessions which offer the most valuable insights about oneself, the environment, the goals or sometimes, redefining the meaning of whole pathway itself.
The Experience:
Action-oriented, adaptive, and challenging. Your intentions meet the real-world resistance of inertia and systemic loops, creating valuable insight & learning.
What you will walk away with:
-
Assessing your projects and initiatives portfolio; team mobilization
-
Working with systemic & personal ‘knots’ and learning to flex your leadership style
-
Cultivating micro-habits for consistency and credibility
THE INFLUENCE COMPASS: PHASE 3 (SESSIONS 7-9)
Integration & Stabilization

The actions from phase 2 continue and get reoriented based on insights gained from the journey. As the underlying factors that may have created gaps in communication and misalignment get revealed and addressed, shifts in professional relationships become visible. You earn respect as the initiatives, projects or roles you have been essaying get support and sponsorship. This entire portfolio is built on the foundation of your personal effectiveness and consistency as a leader that people begin to identify you with. You wrap up this phase by synthesizing your breakthroughs from the journey and celebrating your wins.
The Experience:
Strategic, expansive, and highly visible. Focus shifts to scaling your impact across the organization through narrative influence and leadership gravitas
What you will walk away with:
-
Cultivating executive advocates through shared purpose and alignment
-
Executive presence and storytelling for enterprise mobilization
-
Synthesizing sustaining flow — building your own leadership compass
Why this pathway works
The Influence Compass is based on our real-world experience of enabling leaders through significant transitions. It tracks your personal transformation across three distinct, real-world domains of leadership effectiveness — the systemic, the social, and the psychological.
Your coach works not just with external inputs such as events and results, but with the signals from the patterns of perception, thinking, and action that are deeply embodied in you. How you show up in the room, where you direct your focus, and the tone you set are the truest reflections of your executive presence. By monitoring these day-to-day shifts, we help you break through the professional plateaus that show up so commonly at senior levels.
