Somajna Offerings
Somajna’s work is on the Human Foundations of Organisational Transformation.
Our offerings are organised around the central principles of how transformation unfolds through organisations. Organisations are human systems in pursuit of a purpose and their transformation path is never a straight line.
Organisations transform when the systemic, cultural
and psychological forces align around a shared purpose.
Transformation advances through waves of transitions which accompany the changes that are triggered as an organisation grows. Each wave of transition gathers momentum until it is predictably interrupted by a ‘knot.’
Knots are points where the human challenges of a transformation show up in response to increasing complexity, uncertainty and competing interests. The ‘knots’ impact momentum at the strategic (organisation), cultural (team/group) or psychological (individual) domains that collectively create the organisation. At every knot, the quality of leadership determines if the organisation stalls, loses direction, retreats or moves forward with greater confidence.
Our interventions are organised under the four pillars of our practice and build the leadership, cultural and psychological capacity for navigating through the knots. In the absence of structured support, eventually people will find their own way through or around the knots to achieve their personal objectives, regardless of the organisation’s interests.
Therefore, we assert that:
Organisational transformation begins strategically,
struggles socially and resolves psychologically.
This is the central principle that underpins all our interventions.
